Aranjuez, Mon Amour by Joaquin Rodrigo for Accordion!

Aranjuez, Mon Amour is the second movement from the Concierto de Aranjuez is a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. Written in 1939, it is probably Rodrigo's best-known work, and its success established his reputation as one of the most significant Spanish composers of the twentieth century.

My Heart Will Go On by James Horner from Titanic!

Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance and disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson and Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater, members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.

Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel!

"Por una cabeza", meaning "by a head [of a horse]" in Spanish, is the most famous and popular tango song by Carlos Gardel (composer) and Alfredo Le Pera (lyricist), written in 1935.
The lyrics of the song talk about a compulsive horse-track gambler who compares his addiction for horses with his attraction to women.
The tango has been performed by numerous tango orchestras and is commonly featured in films and television, most notably The Tango Project (Nonesuch Records), consisting of Accordionist William Schimmel, Pianist Michael Sahl and Violinist Stan Kurtis. Tango scenes with "Por una cabeza" appear in Planet 51, Schindler's List, Scent of a Woman, Delicatessen, True Lies, All the King's Men, Bad Santa, Episode 37 of Nip/Tuck, Episode 9 of Sweet Spy, the beginning and ending credits of I'm Sorry, I Love You, and the CSI: NY episode "Down the Rabbit Hole", and in the movie "Frida" (Salma Hayek), Gardel is heard on a radio singing it.

Waltz No 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich!

 I arranged Waltz No 2 by  Dmitri Shostakovich and performed recently at the Eastbourne Accordion Festival  on 20 February 2011. This work is now known as the Suite for Variety Orchestra (post-1956), from which the "Waltz No. 2" was made famous by the soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, and which now seems irrevocably erroneously associated with the Jazz Suite No. 2.

Chariots Of Fire By Vangelis!

Chariots of Fire is a 1981 British film. It tells the fact-based story of two athletes in the 1924 Olympics.

The film was written by Colin Welland and directed by Hugh Hudson. 

I arranged this composition for Accordion Solo and performed at the Eastbourne Accordion Festival on 20 February 2011. The sheet music is available from my website.
